We kept the existing layout, making modifications where needed. The original, oversized peninsula was removed and replaced with a smaller, more functioning peninsula which also gave them storage and seating. We reframed their coffee bar area, making it large enough to hold their new microwave. The wall oven was replaced with a custom range and hood, which was relocated to the opposite wall. We removed a soffit which allowed us to install ceiling-height cabinets. Sollid Tahoe Ash cabinets were used throughout with quartz Venetino Gold for the kitchen and coffee bar countertops with Mascarello for the island countertop. Black Pearl and Magma Grey remnants were used for the wet bar countertop and backsplash. Bedrosians 90 Degrees Haze Gray tile was used for the hood tile, and Bedrosians Chateau Smoke was used for the backsplash. Undermount, stainless steel sink was installed along with custom fixtures. To match their existing floors, we used Marazzi Mendocino Travertine where needed. A custom pendant light replaced the original bulky fixture, which gave them light directly above their island.
