In this Kitchen, Laundry Room and Master Bathroom Remodel we started with the kitchen. Removing the existing cabinets, countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet. We also removed the pantry walls, door and shelving. Construction started with framing the new peninsula wall and extending a wall to fit the new cabinet design. We started with adding new custom Koch kitchen cabinets. We used Koch Classic Savannah 15 Shaker Maple Almond Satin with slab drawer fronts for all the perimeter cabinets. We added a custom desk area with Koch Classic Savannah 15 Shaker Paint Grade Evergreen fog to accent the space. All cabinets were topped with MSI’s Calacatta Abezzo Quartz slab. Finishing touches in the kitchen consisted of Ruvatis’s 36” Undermounted sink, Delta plumbing fixtures in champagne bronze, gold handles and MSI’s Antique White Arabesque backsplash.
The Updates to the laundry room were minor but elevated this space immensely. We removed the existing wall cabinets and appliances. We installed custom cabinets, Koch Express Windsor 15 Shaker Birch Almond Satin with Slab Drawer front. Matching this countertop slab to the kitchen we used MSI Calacatta Abezzo quartz countertops.
In the master bathroom, we started with removing the shower walls, vanity cabinet, medicine cabinet, light fixture and plumbing fixtures. This shower was reframed to allow a 16”x16” shampoo niche and extra backing for 3 grab bars. We then added new backerboards and waterproofing to the shower area. This shower showcases MSI’s Porcelain panels in the color Glacier Statuary, Kohler’s White Rely Shower Pan and Champagne Bronze plumbing fixtures. We finished this shower off with a ⅜” Frameless Clear Glass shower door accented with Satin Bronze hardware. We finished off this bathroom with custom Koch cabinets, MSI’s Calacatta Abezzo Quartz slab, a polished edge mirror framed in the same stain as the cabinets and plumbing fixtures.
The finishing touch for this whole home remodel that really tied the whole project together was flooring throughout most of the home. We removed the existing baseboards and carpet in some rooms. We prepped the existing hardwood floors with a vapor barrier, added a ½ concrete board in two of the carpeted bedrooms and prepped the flooring. We installed MSI’s LVP Laurel Flaxen with a 20mil wear layer and 5mm thickness.
