In this lovely Cadence home, we remodeled the hall bathroom as well as added a guest room to the home. After obtaining a building permit from the City of Henderson, we were able to start framing new exterior walls and roof for the 12’x8.5’ room addition. We framed a new 72’x96” sliding door, 1033 2 Lite Patio Door Desert Sand, at the old rear window location. Throughout the new bedroom, new closet, and remodeled bathroom, we installed Marazzi Norwood Oak 6”x24” tile with Mapei Ultracolor #145 Light Smoke grout.
After finishing this new room addition, we started on the bathroom remodel by removing all of the existing shower components, including the shower walls, shower pan, shower valve, shower head, and the shower door. The homeowner requested a walk-in tub, so we were able to provide and install the Sanspa Five Star OHT 5129 Fully Loaded Walk in Tub. After installing the Schluter Kerdi waterproof system, we added the MSI Durban White Matte 12”x24” tile in a vertical ⅓-⅔ pattern with a matching bullnose. As an accent band, we used MSI Bellagio Blenc Hex in a 12” vertical band through the shampoo recess. The customer chose Kohler Devonshire Brushed Nickel shower trim and 14” rain head with a 12” rain arm from the ceiling. We were able to reinstall the customer’s existing 18” grab bar. We closed off this space by using ⅜” clear glass French doors over the tub and filler panel with brushed nickel hardware. Finally, we were able to install a new 32”x80” RH bathroom door. The customer was thrilled with the final result of their new home remodel.
